Just thought I'd let you know that since I"ve gotten pregnant I've been horrible sick. Until this passes, you will most likely not see any posts on here. It could be quite a long time. Sorry:(

Eating A Bit More Healthy

Here are just a few things we try to do. Instead of putting it in all the recipes I thought I'd just make one post.
*Anything you can buy organic is GREAT! Go for full fat versions of dairy as low fat and no fat may not even contain "real" ingredients at all. Remember, just because it says it's "organic" doesn't mean it doesn't have sugar in it. Read your lablels.
*Look for free range, hormone free meat. You can go to eatwild.com or other online sites to get a good supplier in your area.
*Eating local is good as well. Not only are you supporting your local economy, but it doesn't have to travel hundreds and thousands of miles to get to you - who knows what happens to it in transit.
*Use veggie wash on fruits and veggies. You can go to the Environmental Working Group website to get a list of the Dirty Dozen fruits and veggies - these are produce you don't really want to get unless it's organic.
*Remember, making something homemade is always better than purchasing it's premade counterpart in the grocery store.
